New England Drone Solutions is an advanced drone service provider located in Simsbury, Connecticut.

I’m Eric, New England Drone Solutions’ owner and remote pilot in command. I’ve been passionate about aviation since childhood and an avid photographer for decades. Combine that with a former life in the technology industry and you get just about the perfect recipe for a drone service provider that knows not only the importance of data to today’s business applications, but how to capture it and make it usable as well.

I’m an FAA-licensed commercial drone pilot and hold a Level 1 UAS thermography certificate from Clemson University’s drone program. I’ve lectured animal rescue groups and animal control officers on the use of thermal drones in lost animal search and rescue and have instructed new drone owners in drone flight and the responsible and safe use of drones in the national airspace.

Combining industry knowledge with some of the latest technologies in aerial imaging, New England Drone Solutions is quietly redefining what it means to work with a DSP in New England.

My principles are simple:

  • Excellence in everything I produce

  • A relentless focus on client satisfaction and service

  • Operational safety during flight engagements

I can’t wait to introduce this technology to you and show you what drone data can bring to your ongoing business operations.

New England Drone Solutions FAQs

Are you insured?

Absolutely. COIs are available on request.

What is your travel policy?

Pricing for most engagements covers the first 45 minutes of travel each way (based on the best time given from Google Maps) from 06070. Travel outside of that 45 minutes is billed at $40/hr in 15-minute increments. Longer-range travel (multi-hour/multi-day) is examined per engagement.

Do you have a Part 107 certificate from the FAA to operate a drone?

Yes. Part 107 is the licensing/certification required to operate a drone in the United States for non-recreational purposes. All flight operations conducted by New England Drone Solutions are conducted under the rules of Part 107.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround times vary based on workload and the complexity of your engagement. Construction progress monitoring photos are generally accessible within 24 hours of the flight. Orthomosaics and simple photogrammetry work will average 2-3 business days from the date of flight. Thermal analysis turnaround is dependent on the size of the area inspected, as would be other types of inspection that require manual intervention. 3D models can take upward of 5+ days depending on the size of the site and the amount of data that needs to be rendered. Expected turnaround times for all work will be provided to you at the time of our engagement.
